Parking Permits Now Available - June 13
Faculty and staff parking permits will go on sale June 13, 2022 on the parking portal. Permits will be entirely virtual through the License Plate Recognition System. This does not apply to parking deck permit holders. All permits will be valid July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023.
Faculty and staff have the option to purchase a customized front license plate for $12 from Parking & Transportation Services. This will allow you to back-in or pull-through parking in the surface lots. The front license plates must contain the same information as the registered vehicle's rear-facing plate.
Fall 2022 Credentialing Deadline -June 24Credentialing packets for the 2022 fall semester should be received by the Office of Strategic Planning and Institutional Effectiveness by Friday, June 24, 2022. This date will allow time for processing to meet the Internal Salary Authorization Form deadline of July 8, 2022.

OASIS Student ServiceCounseling Services now promotes OASIS, an online application that assists with mental health. Users are able to increase awareness of mental health, decrease stigmas associated with mental health and gain access to additional mental health resources.

Enroll/Waive Student Blue InsuranceStudents are required to have health insurance either by remaining on their parents’ insurance or buying an individual insurance plan. Students without insurance may purchase the Student Blue Student Health Insurance. Students will be automatically billed (on tuition account) and enrolled in the Student Blue coverage, unless a waiver is completed by the semester due date Sept. 12.
University Writing Center Hours and Services Offered
The University Writing Center, located in the General Classroom Building, Room 309, is currently open, Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Students may walk-in during these hours or make an appointment online at ncat.mywcoline.com. Online help is also available from 9 a.m. – 8 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Students can receive help with thesis development, essay and paragraph development, sentence structure, avoiding run-on sentences, comma splices, sentence fragments, grammar, punctuation, research essay writing, source citation, business writing, and personal statements along with any other writing needs. The Writing Center also offers classroom visitations.
If you would like for a writing consultant to visit your classes to briefly introduce the UWC, please let us know. COVID-19 Testing and Vaccination/Boosters Available
Testing is easy and free for students and employees, available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., at the Blount Student Health Center. Vaccination and booster shots are also free and available at the Student Health Center Pharmacy.
Counseling Services has partnered with an online service called TogetherAll to provide 24/7 support to students. Students can register with their Aggie email, provide quick demographical information (can also remain anonymous) and in 3 minutes have access to a counselor at any time. The service also provides mental health resources, peer support communities, creative outlets and more.
GenCyber Free Virtual Summer Camp for Middle and High School Students
The GenCyber Program at N.C. A&T is offering two virtual summer camps targeted to middle and high school students (rising 8th - 12th grade). The two camps will be offered in two weeks: July 18 – 22, and July 25 – 29. Each camp will run a 40-hour week, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Monday – Friday, with one-day pre-camp activities on July 11. Students will be exposed to Python programming, cryptography, network security and digital forensics. Students will learn correct and safe online behaviors and cybersecurity ethics while having fun.
To apply for the 2022 Virtual GenCyber summer camps at N.C. A&T, you must be rising 8th through 12th grade for 2022-2023 academic year, and submit your online application before 5 p.m. on June 8.
To attend the 2022 Virtual GenCyber summer camps at N.C. A&T, you must have access to a personal computer and reliable Internet connection. Each accepted camp student will receive a virtual camp package, including an Apple Airpods, a web camera (if needed), and a GenCyber Polo shirt. Space is limited. Apply ASAP! Application link
N.C. A&T Planning for In-Person Summer CampsThe university will return to in-person summer camp programs. As part of its risk management efforts, the university centralized the registration process for summer camps/sponsored programs. Faculty, staff, program directors, and other personnel organizing, leading, and managing these efforts must register all summer camps/sponsored programs through the Extended Campus via this link.
The Extended Campus supports the procedures for compliance with the Minors on Campus policy, which promotes the safety and well-being of minors entrusted to the University's care. All directors, camp personnel, and volunteers working with the camps will complete the mandatory online Protection of Minors Training. University Space Planning Committee Survey
The University Space Planning Committee welcomes your feedback regarding a potential addition to our campus. As N.C. A&T continues to improve our spaces on campus, we are committed to providing spaces that accommodate a diverse set of needs. In this regard, we are exploring lactation rooms to be used by students, faculty and staff with infants. A lactation space is a private, hygienic space for nursing mothers and infants. SHRA Mandatory Information Security TrainingThe university is required to provide information security awareness training each year. Training for SHRA employees began Oct. 19. Topics will include information technology policies, fundamental security knowledge, common cyber security threats, social engineering red flags, WiFi security, social media sharing and phishing prevention. This training is mandatory for all SHRA employees.
The training is self-paced and each module can be paused and resumed. After module is completed, employees will be able to download a certificate of completion. The deadline to complete training is Thursday, June 30. Please contact Information Security Services at itsecure@ncat.edu if you have questions.
HBCU Founders Initiative & NC A&T Pre-Accelerator ProgramThe HBCU Founders Initiative and North Carolina A&T are partnering for an 8-week campus dedicated pre-accelerator program. The program targets early-stage founders who are past the ideation stage and ready to validate a problem and build an MVP. Topics will be presented in weekly virtual cohort sessions with on campus activities also planned. Participants will have access to office hours with advisors who will help them along their entrepreneurial journey. Participants will be eligible to receive non-dilutive program awards in support of MVP development.

Learn STEM Skills and Credentials with Digital Badge Program
N.C. A&T is starting a digital badge program, funded by the National Science Foundation, to enable undergraduate students to increase their STEM skills through mentorship programs, experiential learning activities, research opportunities, scholarships, and more.
The ASETTS program will connect students to researchers, professionals, and alumni from STEM‐related fields currently working in transportation careers and give students extra credentials to increase their marketability and secure employment after graduation.

N.C. A&T's Theatre Program and Davidson College Present "Violet" - June 17 -July 3
The Davidson College Theatre Department, in partnership with A&T faculty Greg Horton and Donna Baldwin-Bradby, is sponsoring the creation of a professional summer theatre on the Davidson campus – Common Thread Theatre Collective.
The inaugural season's first show is "Violet." Winner of the Drama Critics' Circle Award and Lucille Lortel Award for Best Musical when it premiered Off-Broadway in 1997, and then on to a Tony-nominated Broadway debut in 2014 with a revised version, Violet is a moving musical featuring show-stopping anthems, ranging from American-roots to folk to gospel. Violet is a powerhouse piece of theatre that needs no more than a few chairs and talented performers to take an audience's breath away. It is a must for companies that are dedicated to depicting moving stories onstage.

University Galleries to Virtually Host African American Artist, Gallery Owner Jason Franklin – June 22The University Galleries at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University will host a virtual program, “The Role and Importance of Black Art Gallery Owners” Wednesday June 22 at noon. Artist Jason Franklin will delve into the world of African American art gallery ownership and its importance to artists of color. Franklin is a native of North Carolina and holds a B.S. in mathematics education with a minor in art and design (painting) and an M.A. of Industrial Design with a concentration in illustration from N.C. State.

N.C. A&T's Theatre Program and Davidson College Present "Barbecue" - July 15-31
The Davidson College Theatre Department, in partnership with A&T faculty Greg Horton and Donna Baldwin-Bradby, is sponsoring the creation of a professional summer theatre on the Davidson campus – Common Thread Theatre Collective.
The second show of the inaugural season is "Barbecue," which centers around the O’Mallerys, a dysfunctional group of siblings who come together for a park barbeque in order to stage and emergency intervention for their sister Barbara, whose drug habit has gotten out of hand. However, there are in fact two O’Mallery families, one white and one Black. Each appear in different, yet similar scenes that juxtapose to create a dialogue about racial and family politics.

BRIDGES 2022: Leading in a Time of Transformation - Registration Deadline July 15BRIDGES is an inclusive professional development program dedicated to supporting cisgender or transgender women and nonbinary colleagues in higher education who seek to gain or strengthen their academic leadership capabilities, and/or individuals who demonstrate a commitment to supporting women and gender issues and equity in the academy. It is designed to help participants identify, understand, and build their
leadership roles in the academy. BRIDGES 2022 will be held Sept. 9-Nov. 12, 2022. Through an intensive program, participants will:
• develop insights into leadership, with a particular focus on the special skills and attributes unique to leadership roles
• acquire an understanding of the many facets of colleges and
universities
• build strategic negotiation skills, and
• create a program of personal and professional development to
benefit themselves and their institutions.
