The following revised policy has been approved and is posted on the Legal Affairs website. Managers and employees across the university are strongly encouraged to familiarize themselves with all policies posted on the Legal Affairs website.
Annually, our office surveys the campus to determine if any bank accounts have been opened in the name of the North Carolina A&T State University. State law requires that all university funds be receipted and disbursed via the University’s Treasurer/Accounting Offices. Deposits must be made within 24 hours of receipt, or the next business day. In an attempt to comply with the State requirement, we are surveying university departments to determine if any university funds may be on deposit in checking and/or savings accounts at banking institutions other than the State Treasury.
If you are aware of any university funds being moved to or held in an account outside the University/State Treasury, please send a note to my office with that information no later than July 31. You may send the information to the N.C. A&T Comptroller’s Office, 221 Dowdy Building, or email me: hrbuck@ncat.edu Completion of this information is mandatory if you are aware of university funds being held in an account outside the University/State Treasury. No response is required otherwise.
We appreciate your cooperation in helping the University comply with State law.
Parking Permits Now Available
Faculty and staff parking permits will go on sale June 13, 2022 on the parking portal. Permits will be entirely virtual through the License Plate Recognition System. This does not apply to parking deck permit holders. All permits will be valid July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023.
Faculty and staff have the option to purchase a customized front license plate for $12 from Parking & Transportation Services. This will allow you to back-in or pull-through parking in the surface lots. The front license plates must contain the same information as the registered vehicle's rear-facing plate.

CREO Faculty Affiliate Research Interest SurveyThe Center of Excellence in Cybersecurity Research, Education and Outreach is inviting our faculty affiliates to participate in a survey to update us on your research/teaching interests. As gas tax that supports a well-functioning transportation system has become unsustainable over the last decade, the Eastern Transportation Coalition, a partnership of 17 states and Washington D.C., needs your help to explore an alternative approach, called a Mileage-Based User Fee (MBUF), where each driver pays for the miles they drive instead of the fuel they buy.
To better understand how an MBUF program could work, the Coalition is conducting a FREE Pilot Program in North Carolina and they want N.C. A&T students, faculty, and staff to join and tell them their perception of MBUF and its impact on our communities. Please see more information and sign up on this link. Accessing Chrome RiverEffective June 22, 2022, users will not be able to access the Chrome River application via Internet Explorer 11 to align with Microsoft’s end-of-life schedule.

Mozilla Firefox
Apple Safari - (Desktop & Mobile) - Users must turn off "private mode" before logging into Chrome River. It is not supported.
Counseling Services now promotes OASIS, an online application that assists with mental health. Users are able to increase awareness of mental health, decrease stigmas associated with mental health and gain access to additional mental health resources.

Enroll/Waive Student Blue Insurance
Students are required to have health insurance either by remaining on their parents’ insurance or buying an individual insurance plan. Students without insurance may purchase the Student Blue Student Health Insurance. Students will be automatically billed (on tuition account) and enrolled in the Student Blue coverage, unless a waiver is completed by the semester due date Sept. 12.
University Writing Center Hours and Services Offered
The University Writing Center, located in the General Classroom Building, Room 309, is currently open, Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Students may walk-in during these hours or make an appointment online at ncat.mywcoline.com. Online help is also available from 9 a.m. – 8 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Students can receive help with thesis development, essay and paragraph development, sentence structure, avoiding run-on sentences, comma splices, sentence fragments, grammar, punctuation, research essay writing, source citation, business writing, and personal statements along with any other writing needs. The Writing Center also offers classroom visitations.

COVID-19 Testing and Vaccination/Boosters Available
Testing is easy and free for students and employees, available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., at the Blount Student Health Center. Vaccination and booster shots are also free and available at the Student Health Center Pharmacy.
Counseling Services has partnered with an online service called TogetherAll to provide 24/7 support to students. Students can register with their Aggie email, provide quick demographical information (can also remain anonymous) and in 3 minutes have access to a counselor at any time. The service also provides mental health resources, peer support communities, creative outlets and more.
N.C. A&T Planning for In-Person Summer CampsThe university will return to in-person summer camp programs. As part of its risk management efforts, the university centralized the registration process for summer camps/sponsored programs. Faculty, staff, program directors, and other personnel organizing, leading, and managing these efforts must register all summer camps/sponsored programs through the Extended Campus via this link.
The Extended Campus supports the procedures for compliance with the Minors on Campus policy, which promotes the safety and well-being of minors entrusted to the University's care. All directors, camp personnel, and volunteers working with the camps will complete the mandatory online Protection of Minors Training. University Space Planning Committee Survey
The University Space Planning Committee welcomes your feedback regarding a potential addition to our campus. As N.C. A&T continues to improve our spaces on campus, we are committed to providing spaces that accommodate a diverse set of needs. In this regard, we are exploring lactation rooms to be used by students, faculty and staff with infants. A lactation space is a private, hygienic space for nursing mothers and infants. HBCU Founders Initiative & N.C. A&T Pre-Accelerator ProgramThe HBCU Founders Initiative and North Carolina A&T are partnering for an 8-week campus dedicated pre-accelerator program. The program targets early-stage founders who are past the ideation stage and ready to validate a problem and build an MVP. Topics will be presented in weekly virtual cohort sessions with on campus activities also planned. Participants will have access to office hours with advisors who will help them along their entrepreneurial journey. Participants will be eligible to receive non-dilutive program awards in support of MVP development.

Learn STEM Skills and Credentials with Digital Badge Program
N.C. A&T is starting a digital badge program, funded by the National Science Foundation, to enable undergraduate students to increase their STEM skills through mentorship programs, experiential learning activities, research opportunities, scholarships, and more.
The ASETTS program will connect students to researchers, professionals, and alumni from STEM‐related fields currently working in transportation careers and give students extra credentials to increase their marketability and secure employment after graduation.
The Davidson College Theatre Department, in partnership with A&T faculty Greg Horton and Donna Baldwin-Bradby, is sponsoring the creation of a professional summer theatre on the Davidson campus – Common Thread Theatre Collective.
The second show of the inaugural season is "Barbecue," which centers around the O’Mallerys, a dysfunctional group of siblings who come together for a park barbeque in order to stage and emergency intervention for their sister Barbara, whose drug habit has gotten out of hand. However, there are in fact two O’Mallery families, one white and one Black. Each appear in different, yet similar scenes that juxtapose to create a dialogue about racial and family politics.

BRIDGES 2022: Leading in a Time of Transformation - Registration Deadline July 15BRIDGES is an inclusive professional development program dedicated to supporting cisgender or transgender women and nonbinary colleagues in higher education who seek to gain or strengthen their academic leadership capabilities, and/or individuals who demonstrate a commitment to supporting women and gender issues and equity in the academy. It is designed to help participants identify, understand, and build their
leadership roles in the academy. BRIDGES 2022 will be held Sept. 9-Nov. 12, 2022. Through an intensive program, participants will:
• develop insights into leadership, with a particular focus on the special skills and attributes unique to leadership roles
• acquire an understanding of the many facets of colleges and
universities
• build strategic negotiation skills, and
• create a program of personal and professional development to
benefit themselves and their institutions.

Virtual Safe Zone TrainingVirtual Safe Zone Ally Development Training sessions will take place on July 20 and Sept. 23 at 9 a.m. via Zoom. This session is open to faculty and staff. Safe Zone Trainings emphasize on providing information that is relevant to promoting a healthy and safe campus community by creating allies.
