OASIS Student ServiceCounseling Services now promotes OASIS, an online application that assists students with their mental health. Students are able to increase their awareness of mental health, decrease stigmas associated, and gain access to additional mental health resources. This is also an opportunity for students to gain further community. Staff and faculty are encouraged to share this downloadable app with their students.
Aggie Summer ScholarshipsAggie Summer Scholarships are available for students enrolled in a degree-seeking program and register for Summer Session I or II by April 25. The Scholarship covers tuition and fees only, up to six credit hours (not to exceed the cost of attendance) with no application required. Students may view their award via Aggie Access Online, beginning April 19. Awards are processed weekly until funding is exhausted.
Call for Abstracts: Southern Biomedical Engineering ConferenceWe are calling for abstract submission for the 38th Southern Biomedical Engineering Conference (SBEC) 2022 that will be held in New Orleans. SBEC is one of the oldest scientific gathering of engineers, scientists and clinicians globally. The deadline for abstract submissions is May 15 and can be submitted here.

Recreational Swim is Monday – Friday, noon to 8 p.m.
Testing is easy and free for students and employees, available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Alumni Foundation Event Center, next door to the Student Health Center. Vaccination and booster shots are also free and available at the Alumni Foundation Event Center and the Student Health Center Pharmacy.

Summer/Fall 2022 Course Advisement and Registration - begins March 14 Advisement for summer/fall 2022 begins on March 14. Students should contact their faculty advisor to schedule an appointment to discuss courses they should take based on your curriculum guide. Alternate pins are to be obtained from faculty advisor and/or department chairperson.
Registration begins on April 4 until April 25. Students can begin registering for classes based on their earned hours.
Monday, April 4 – Graduate Students and Seniors (90 or more earned credit hours)
Tuesday, April 5 – Juniors (60 – 89 earned credit hours)
Wednesday, April 6 – Sophomores (30 – 59 earned credit hours)
Thursday, April 7 – Freshmen (less than 30 earned credit hours)

The University Event Center would like to inform you that in the continued effort to provide a superior customer experience, multiple forms used in the process of reserving spaces on campus have been modernized and are now available electronically. Accessible from our main University Event Center page on the NCAT website, the Cancellation/Change Form, Online Username & Password Request Form, Student Center Reservation Request Form, Digital Display Board Request Form can all completed and submitted directly to our staff for processing. As you will see there are two options for our, one set that is accessible utilizing you university issued One-ID and one for individuals without a University issued One-ID.
Please note that reservations all forms will be processed within 2-3 business days, this will allow our office to execute the process most efficient way possible. Forms will be processed in the order they are received and event locations are available on a first come, first serve bases.

The university will return to in-person summer camp programs. As part of its risk management efforts, the university centralized the registration process for summer camps/sponsored programs. Faculty, staff, program directors, and other personnel organizing, leading, and managing these efforts must register all summer camps/sponsored programs through the Extended Campus via this link.
The Extended Campus supports the procedures for compliance with the Minors on Campus policy, which promotes the safety and well-being of minors entrusted to the University's care. All directors, camp personnel, and volunteers working with the camps will complete the mandatory online Protection of Minors Training. University Space Planning Committee Survey
The University Space Planning Committee welcomes your feedback regarding a potential addition to our campus. As N.C. A&T continues to improve our spaces on campus, we are committed to providing spaces that accommodate a diverse set of needs. In this regard, we are exploring lactation rooms to be used by students, faculty and staff with infants. A lactation space is a private, hygienic space for nursing mothers and infants. Clinical Study Volunteers Needed
The Center of Excellence in Post Harvest Technologies located at the North Carolina Research Campus in Kannapolis is looking for volunteers to participate in a clinical study. We are investigating how food plays an important part in our health and how the food is broken down after being eaten. You may qualify if your BMI is between 18-25 or 30-40, you are 18-65 years of age, and you are of African American decent. Participation involves completing a 5-day food diary and providing one stool sample collection. Do you have high blood pressure and you are taking three or more blood
pressure medications? You may be eligible for an 8-week study on stress
management.
You may qualify if you identify as African American/Black; are being treated with three or more blood pressure medications; and/or are between 18 and 90+ years old.
Participation involves attending a stress management class for 1.5 hours a week for 8-weeks and a 4-hour silent retreat; keeping a weekly log of blood pressure; and completing a 1-hour group interview about the stress management program
at the end of the 8-weeks.

Tuition Assistance Transition
Office of Veteran & Military Affairs is now responsible, and will process Army DOD and the Tuition Assistance program. All students utilizing this program please contact our office at (336) 398-8651.
The university is required to provide information security awareness training each year. Training for SHRA employees began Oct. 19. Topics will include information technology policies, fundamental security knowledge, common cyber security threats, social engineering red flags, WiFi security, social media sharing and phishing prevention. This training is mandatory for all SHRA employees. The training is self-paced and each module can be paused and resumed. After module is completed, employees will be able to download a certificate of completion. The deadline to complete training is Thursday, June 30, 2022. Learn STEM Skills and Credentials with Digital Badge Program
N.C. A&T is starting a digital badge program, funded by the National Science Foundation, to enable undergraduate students to increase their STEM skills through mentorship programs, experiential learning activities, research opportunities, scholarships, and more. The ASETTS program will connect students to researchers, professionals, and alumni from STEM‐related fields currently working in transportation careers and give students extra credentials to increase their marketability and secure employment after graduation.
Aggie Talk Podcast
Aggie Talk is a resource for students and staff at North Carolina A&T State University. Aggie Talk does not take the place of clinical mental health treatment. This podcast is a resource. It is our hope that Aggie Talk introduces new concepts, inspires listeners to pursue professional help if necessary, and to be a catalyst for conversation surrounding mental health. Host Jovan Shumpert, MS, LCMHCA will discuss current events, mental health facts and experiences, and will be joined by colleagues to discuss their areas of expertise. Join us to see how data management planning improves the quality of your research project and benefits all members of the research team, as well as other scientists around the world. Financial Literacy Day - April 19
The Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships will be hosting the 6th Annual Financial Literacy Day on Tuesday, April 19, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. The event will be held at the Student Center, Deese Ballroom. Additionally, those who wish to attend virtually will receive a Zoom link after registration for each session. This one-hour panel discussion, on Wednesday, April 20, from noon to 1 p.m. will highlight the economic and community development efforts of a diverse group of A&T faculty.
Participants will learn how the panelists have engaged with communities from as close as our neighbors in East Greensboro to as far away as a coffee coop in Tanzania.

The Center of Excellence in Product Design and Advanced Manufacturing (CEPDAM) and Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) are hosting a student case challenge competition on April 23, 2022. Student teams at both undergraduate and graduate levels compete to solve a design and automation case study. Research Impact: Assessing and Tracking Your Research – April 28Do you want to know what kind of impact your published research is making in your discipline? Do you want to plan your research trajectory? Looking to publish in the top journals but do not know where to start? Join Bluford Library to learn how you can track, analyze, and visualize the impact of your research. We will explore research impact tools that are easy to use, and which provide a variety of options for analyzing your research engagement. These tools also provide opportunities to network with other researchers in your field and identify potential collaborators.
