COVID-19 Testing and Vaccination/Boosters Available
The A.V. Blount Jr. Student Health Center is available for COVID-19 testing Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
COVID-19 vaccines are also available at the Student Health Center Pharmacy Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 2-4 p.m. daily.

Eastern Transportation Coalition MBUF Pilot EnrollmentAs gas tax that supports a well-functioning transportation system has become unsustainable over the last decade, the Eastern Transportation Coalition, a partnership of 17 states and Washington D.C., needs your help to explore an alternative approach, called a Mileage-Based User Fee (MBUF), where each driver pays for the miles they drive instead of the fuel they buy.
To better understand how an MBUF program could work, the Coalition is conducting a FREE Pilot Program in North Carolina and they want N.C. A&T students, faculty, and staff to join and tell them their perception of MBUF and its impact on our communities. Please see more information and sign up on this link. Students are required to have health insurance either by remaining on their parents’ insurance or buying an individual insurance plan. Students without insurance may purchase the Student Blue Student Health Insurance. Students will be automatically billed (on tuition account) and enrolled in the Student Blue coverage, unless a waiver is completed by the semester due date Sept. 12.
University Writing Center Hours and Services Offered
The University Writing Center, located in the General Classroom Building, Room 309, is currently open, Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Students may walk-in during these hours or make an appointment online at ncat.mywcoline.com. Online help is also available from 9 a.m. – 8 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Students can receive help with thesis development, essay and paragraph development, sentence structure, avoiding run-on sentences, comma splices, sentence fragments, grammar, punctuation, research essay writing, source citation, business writing, and personal statements along with any other writing needs. The Writing Center also offers classroom visitations.

TogetherAll - Student Support
Counseling Services has partnered with an online service called TogetherAll to provide 24/7 support to students. Students can register with their Aggie email, provide quick demographical information (can also remain anonymous) and in three minutes have access to a counselor at any time. The service also provides mental health resources, peer support communities, creative outlets and more.

HBCU Founders Initiative & N.C. A&T Pre-Accelerator ProgramThe HBCU Founders Initiative and North Carolina A&T are partnering for an 8-week campus dedicated pre-accelerator program. The program targets early-stage founders who are past the ideation stage and ready to validate a problem and build an MVP. Topics will be presented in weekly virtual cohort sessions with on campus activities also planned. Participants will have access to office hours with advisors who will help them along their entrepreneurial journey. Participants will be eligible to receive non-dilutive program awards in support of MVP development.

Learn STEM Skills and Credentials with Digital Badge Program
N.C. A&T is starting a digital badge program, funded by the National Science Foundation, to enable undergraduate students to increase their STEM skills through mentorship programs, experiential learning activities, research opportunities, scholarships, and more.
The ASETTS program will connect students to researchers, professionals, and alumni from STEM‐related fields currently working in transportation careers and give students extra credentials to increase their marketability and secure employment after graduation.
SUAB Block Party/Road Closure - Aug. 26
In preparation for the SUAB Block Party on Friday, August 26, 2022, Bluford Street and Laurel Street will be temporarily closed to traffic from Nocho to the intersection of Laurel Street and Laurel Street to John Mitchell Drive at 12:00pm. Faculty, staff and students who drive to campus should plan accordingly.Due to the street closure, the Aggie Shuttle stops on Bluford Street (near Hines Hall), and Laurel Street (near the Aggie Villages) will not be in service. Download the Passio Go App to see the updated Aggie Shuttle routes and stops for the afternoon.
Mandatory Orientation for New International Students
The Office of International Affairs (OIA) will host a mandatory orientation for new international students in F1 and J1 visa status via Zoom Friday, Aug. 26, 2022 from 10 a.m. to noon. You will be provided with critical information regarding academic standing requirements, immigration regulations, health insurance instructions, OIA programs, and other services will be discussed. Register in advance for this meeting using this link. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

Virtual Safe Zone Refresher Training - Aug. 31The Office of Intercultural Engagement and the Office of Counseling Services will host a virtual Safe Zone Ally Development Refresher Training from 10 – 11 a.m. Safe Zone Ally Development Refresher Trainings are open to faculty/staff and students that have previously completed a Safe Zone Training session. Safe Zone Ally Development Trainings emphasize on providing information that is relevant to promoting a healthy and safe campus community by creating allies.
