The Fall 2021 ceremony is Saturday, Dec. 11, at 8:30 a.m. at the Greensboro Coliseum for Fall and Summer graduates only. No tickets will be required to attend. For the safety of all, masks must be worn correctly over the mouth and nose at all times while in the coliseum.

The award is presented to an individual who has had a positive impact on correcting social injustices and other humanitarian activities. The winner will be notified in December and will be invited to accept the award at the Annual Sit-In Breakfast marking the anniversary of the N.C. A&T Sit-In Movement. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2022. The deadline for nominations is Monday, Dec. 6, 2021. Learn STEM Skills and Credentials with Digital Badge Program
N.C. A&T is starting a digital badge program, funded by the National Science Foundation, to enable undergraduate students to increase their STEM skills through mentorship programs, experiential learning activities, research opportunities, scholarships, and more. The ASETTS program will connect students to researchers, professionals, and alumni from STEM‐related fields currently working in transportation careers and give students extra credentials to increase their marketability and secure employment after graduation.

Volunteers Needed to Participate in the Helping Undergraduates Grow in Relationships Online Survey Research Study
Dr. Soonok An and Dr. Chiquita Welch-Brewer in the social work program are inviting A&T undergraduate students to completing a 15-minute online survey that explores undergraduate college students’ attitudes regarding and experiences with healthy relationships and intimate partner/dating violence. To be eligible, you must be:
• 18 years or older • An undergraduate student enrolled at NCAT • Have had a romantic relationship in your lifetime • Not experiencing acute emotional distress related to dating violence. • The topic of dating violence does not cause distress or an adverse emotional response. The following extraordinary opportunities have a deadline of Dec. 14:
- ETS Presidential Scholarship for HBCU Students: Second- and third-year undergrads (all majors) who have demonstrated financial need (usually Pell Grant eligibility), will be full-time undergraduates in 2022-23, and also demonstrate leadership and have a 3.5+ cumulative GPA.
- UNCF Achievement Capstone Scholarship: May 2022 graduates (all majors) who have demonstrated leadership and campus involvement in ways that honor the legacy of the 1964 Civil Rights Act.
- White House Competitiveness Scholars Program for HBCU Students: Undergraduate and graduate students (all majors) who will be enrolled full-time in 2022-23; who are interested in leadership development and outreach; and who demonstrate academic achievement, civic and campus engagement, and an entrepreneurial ethos.
Jan. 18, 2022 at noon ET: Point Foundation Scholarship for those who will be enrolled full-time in fall 2022 in an undergraduate or graduate degree. Candidates should have: demonstrated leadership and community involvement, strong academic achievement, worked for the betterment of the LGBTQ community and are an out member of the LGBTQ community, and financial need.
Jan. 31, 2022: EPP/MSI and Hollings Undergraduate Scholarships. These are both fully funded two-year scholarships with paid summer internships for second-year Aggie undergraduates in eligible disciplines related to the mission of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
The NC-LSAMP STEM Pathways and Research Alliance will hold its annual research conference on Jan. 28, 2022. This virtual conference will afford participants opportunities to engage in professional development and networking sessions, undergraduate research presentations and a graduate school recruitment fair.nclsamp@ncat.edu Register here.
