NCAT VITA Tax Preparation for Students

Tax assistance for tax year 2025 only

North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program will offer free tax preparation services for students on Saturday, March 14, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Student Center, Room 232. IRS-certified volunteers will be available to assist with preparing and filing tax returns for students.

Students should bring the REQUIRED FORMS. (Please note, without the forms, tax assistance cannot be provided.)

  1. Official or copy of your Social Security card (for yourself, spouse and any dependents) or ITIN documentation (for international students)
  2. Driver’s license or government-issued photo ID for primary taxpayer and spouse, if married filing jointly.
  3. All relevant tax documents, including W-2s and 1098-T and other income and tax documents
  4. For international students: Form 8843, 1042-S, and other tax documents

Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are strongly encouraged.

North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University's Willie A. Deese College of Business and Economics is hosting the 2026 Thurgood Marshall College Fund Pitch Event March 19-21.

The Pitch™ 2026 is a dynamic three-day event that will unleash 100 students' intra and entrepreneurial mindset through real world problem-solving, collaboration, and skill development. Student participants will dive into real-world challenges, forming teams and creating minimally viable products (MVPs), guided by industry experts in workshops covering design thinking, business model canvas, customer discovery, intellectual property, prompt engineering, ethical AI usage, team building, and effective pitching.

UAPCC 2-Week University Curriculum Review

Pickleball for Faculty and Staff

Applications are Open for Duke University's Code+ Summer Program

Experiential Learning for the Next Generation of Technology Leaders
NCShare will again host a project team in Duke University's Code+ program for summer 2026. Applications are now open

Calling all undergraduate students! Apply for Code+, a 10-week immersive summer coding experience on Duke’s campus. Each summer, Code+ brings together undergraduate students, faculty and IT professionals to solve meaningful problems through technology. Over 10 intensive weeks, students work in teams of 4–6 to design and build applications, dashboards, and AI-powered tools that support research, operations, and community initiatives. Many participants enter the program with very limited coding experience — and leave with the confidence to pursue internships, research and careers in technology.

Code+ emphasizes:

  • Real-world, stakeholder-driven projects
  • Exposure to multiple tech stacks
  • Professional skill development
  • Mentorship and peer community

This project-based summer experience is designed for students with no prior tech work experience. Students from NCShare participating institutions may apply only to the designated NCShare project (“Research Efficiency: Gamifying Smarter Compute Use”) and must use the non-Duke student application form.

Summer/Fall 2026 Graduation Application is Open!

The graduation application for Summer and Fall 2026 is now open. You can find the application in Aggie Access and complete the online form. The application fee is $60, non-refundable, so please meet with your advisor before you apply.
Important deadlines:

  • Summer I graduation application deadline is May 8
  • Summer II graduation application deadline is July 10
  • Fall graduation application deadline is Sept. 11

Honors College Research Conference: Call for Abstracts

The N.C. A&T Honors College will hold a Research Conference for Spring 2026 to showcase outstanding research and foster dialogue among students. This event invites submissions for both oral and poster presentations across diverse disciplines. Students will have the opportunity to share their work with peers, faculty, and experts in a collaborative and engaging environment.

Creative Greensboro Cultural Mapping Project

Many of these students represent the very best in their programs, and our goal is to recruit them into our graduate engineering programs. The Living Archives Project: Your Memories, Our History

F.D. Bluford Library’s Living Archives Project is an initiative to preserve the vibrant experiences and shared memories of N.C. A&T. students. Through the collection of student-contributed photographs, the Library aims to document the spirit, creativity, and everyday life of the Aggie community. This living archive ensures that the stories, traditions, and moments that define each generation are captured and preserved as part of the University’s history.

Coming Fall 2026 – Canvas by Instructure

North Carolina A&T State University will transition to a new learning management system (LMS), Canvas, for the Fall 2026 semester as a replacement for Blackboard. Canvas is widely adopted, integrates with many tools, and supports modern pedagogical features, offering a flexible and user-friendly environment for teaching and learning.
Information sessions for faculty, chairs, and administrative staff are scheduled for November and December 2025. Click here to register. Training will begin January 2026. Visit the Canvas Implementation website for FAQs and more information about the transition.

Digital Navigator Program – Ongoing

F.D. Bluford Library has launched a pilot program to expand and support our laptop loans. Students, faculty, and staff can request to work with a digital navigator to support their digital inclusion needs.    The Digital Navigators at F.D.
