Capital Improvement Accounting

The Capital Improvement area is a unit of the Comptroller’s office responsible for all accounting functions and special reports for capital improvement projects including payment of all invoices and preparing and submitting monthly reports.

They are responsible for creating and maintaining a budget for each approved project; processing all revisions and allotments to establish, increase, decrease, or close-out a project. Additionally, the Unit’s responsibilities includes reconciling to the State’s Cash Management System (CMCS) and processing entries related to projects which are on the State’s Integrated Budget Information System (IBIS).
