Accessing Email

Office 365 offers several different methods to access your email - Web-based email, client installed to your computer, and mobile access.

  • Web-based Access: To access web-based email login at http://o365.ncat.edu and enter your OneID and password.
  • Client Access: Access email via the Outlook client installed on your computer. For assistance in installing or configuring the client click here, if you need further assistance, contact Client Technology Services at 336-334-7195 or submit a Help Desk ticket online, here.
  • Mobile Access: To configure your mobile device for access to University email, click here.

ITS offers all employees access to lynda.com, an online, self-paced professional development platform. You can log in at https://lynda.ncat.edu, using your OneID and password and search for "Outlook" or "Office 365".

Productivity Software

Office 365 offers a variety of different software to enhance productivity.

Microsoft Office

  • Access Office online at https://o365.ncat.edu using your OneID and password. You will have access to web-based versions of Word, Excel, Powerpoint, One Note, One Drive and much more.
  • Install the latest version of Microsoft Office to your computer. Once logged in to Office 365, click on "Install Office" in the upper right-hand corner of the home screen and install the full version of Microsoft Office to your computer. Up to 10 copies of the Microsoft Office may be installed to your PC- or Mac-based computers.

One Drive for Business

One Drive for Business offers the ability to store your files in Microsoft's secure cloud. When Microsoft Office is installed on your computer, One Drive is installed as well. Skype for Business

Skype for Business offers an enterprise solution allowing all logged in employees to chat, hold virtual meetings and exchange files. When Microsoft Office is installed on your computer, Skype is installed as well. Click here to learn more about configuring Skype for Business on your computer. Skype for Business can also be loaded to your mobile device by downloading the client from you app store.
