Payroll Office

The University Payroll Office is a unit of the Comptroller Office within the Division of Business and Finance. We are dedicated to providing reliable, comprehensive payroll-related services to faculty, staff and students. Our service commitment is to administer timely payroll processing adhering to federal, state and university regulations.

The University Payroll Office responsibilities include:

  • Payroll processing and accounting reconciliation: Process all monthly and bi-weekly payroll for distribution, to include, salary and wage payments, employee benefit deductions, and legally mandated deductions related to government agencies and third-party providers. Late paper timesheets, campus-related voluntary benefit deductions, direct deposit, payroll-related vendor payments, adjustment cycles, and overpayment recovery.
  • Payroll tax administration: Non-resident alien tax compliance, wage treaty benefits, payroll W-2 and 1042 form processing, IRS student exemption, federal and state withholdings, and multi-state withholding and reporting.
  • Financial accounting and general ledger integration: Payroll accounting, labor redistributions, department deduction reporting, and organization and program corrections for payroll.
