Form I-9: Employment Eligibility Verification

Federal regulations (Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986) require all employers to verify compensated employees' employment eligibility in the United States. As a new hire or rehire with North Carolina A&T State University, employees are required to complete the Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification process in the Division of Human Resources before or by the first established work day.

Please access the List of Acceptable Documents to identify the specific type of original documents necessary for completion of the Form I-9. PLEASE NOTE: Only original documentation is acceptable. Faxed, pre-copied, or scanned documents cannot be used to complete this process. Failure to satisfy compliance with I-9 requirements will cease all employment activity with the University.
