Alpha Sigma Lambda Honor Society

An honors fraternity for adult learners

Alpha Sigma Lambda National Honor Society is a nonprofit organization devoted to the advancement of scholarship and to the recognition of nontraditional students continuing their higher education. The Society was established in 1945-46 to honor superior scholastic achievement and leadership in adult students. Alpha Sigma Lambda is the oldest and largest chapter-based honor society for full- and part-time undergraduate adult students.

Membership criteria for the Alpha Sigma Lambda Chapter: Tau Upsilon Honor Society at North Carolina A&T State University: 

  • Minimum of 24 credit hours at North Carolina A&T State University
  • 25 years of age or older
  • 3.5 GPA or higher
  • Completing first undergraduate degree
