Canvas is North Carolina A&T’s learning management system (LMS) for teaching, learning, and course engagement. Beginning with the Fall 2026 semester, all course instruction will be delivered in Canvas.

New and transfer students who were not enrolled during the Spring 2026 term or who are not enrolled in Summer 2026 courses will not have access to Blackboard.
This is expected. Beginning with the Fall 2026 semester, all instruction will be delivered in Canvas. If you are starting classes in Fall 2026, you will access all of your courses through Canvas only. -
Beginning with the transition to Canvas, all staff will access the learning management system using their OneID credentials. Manually created accounts (those beginning with “org_”) will no longer be used for Canvas access. These accounts may still be used for Blackboard during the transition period; however, they will not provide access to Canvas.
