Purchase of Personal Items

General Information

Requirements that do not fall within the definition of Consultant Services and are exempt from consultant service requirements may be requested through a personal service procedure. These requirements cannot exceed the Statutory limit delegated to the University.

Personal services may include payments to lecturers, personal services for student activity functions, honorariums for workshop leaders, etc.


The Personal Service Form must be completed in its entirety and must be accompanied by a completed Purchase Request Form.

Social Security numbers must be included and each question listed must be answered.

Submission Requirements

The completed purchase request and personal service form must be submitted at least two weeks prior to intended service.


Payment will be made following completion of service; after receipt of certification that services have been completed and after supporting receipts have been submitted to Accounts Payable. The certification is the receiving report signed by the authorized person requesting the service.
