Sprintax Calculus
Federal Tax System for Non-Resident, International Students and Employees
Sprintax Calculus is a specialized and secure cloud-based software that the University uses to collect the immigration information of non-resident, international students, faculty, and staff who receive payments from the University. The system ensures that all University payments to Nonresident Aliens (NRAs) comply with applicable federal tax regulations.

- Determine how the University treats all payments made to the NRA

- Prepare residency and tax summary reports

This platform offers numerous advantages, including:- Electronic 1042-S Delivery: Enables the university to deliver electronic 1042-S forms to recipients. This reduces the delays associated with mailing and lost forms.
- E-Signature Capability: Allows students and scholars to sign treaty forms electronically.
- Document Submission: Facilitates the submission of required documents by nonresident aliens.
- Integrated Tax Preparation: Imports individual tax documents from Sprintax Calculus into Sprintax Returns for income tax preparation and filing.
- Support Services: Provides access to live chat support for assistance while using the software.
For Students
- New international students will receive an email inviting them to complete their Sprintax profile.
- After you respond to questions regarding electronic consent, your current immigration status, your history of presence in the U.S., and securely upload your immigration-related documents, Sprintax Calculus will generate the appropriate tax forms for your electronic signature.
- Students must update their Sprintax profile to reflect any change in status and at the start of every new calendar year to ensure their information remains accurate.
- The University will cover the cost for 100 eligible international students to use Sprintax Returns to file their income taxes after the release of the 1042-S forms.

Profile Setup and Access
- An email notification will be sent to you to register to access your profile
- Select Log in with your institution account
- Search for NC A&T State University and click Continue
- When prompted, enter your email address and OneID password
- Click Ok
