Dr. Dixon oversees assessment initiatives for 18 departmental units, consults on assessment needs and implementation, and provides leadership in professional development activities for staff in the division. Dr. Dixon earned her bachelor's degree in kinesiology from Longwood University, her master's degree in community and college counseling from Longwood University, and her doctorate degree in organizational leadership from Grand Canyon University. Dr. Dixon currently serves as the Chair-Elect for the Commission of Assessment and Evaluation (ACPA).  She also serves as the HBCU Division Chair for NASPA Region 3 (2020-2022).

Dr. Dixon's research interests include the culture of assessment, minority male achievement, student mentorship, student engagement, college student well-being, and staff development.
