Payment Methods

Online Credit Card Payments

Payment for tuition and fees can be made online through the North Carolina A&T State University online payment system.  This system will allow payments to be made on your account using an American Express, Discover, MasterCard or VISA credit or debit cards. Effective August 1, 2013 all credit card payments are subject to a 2.95% convenience fee.  Students must have their student identification (Banner) number and PIN to utilize the Online Student Payments system. Students may also grant access to their parents or guardians as Authorized Users so that they can make payments on your student account. 

Online Check Payments

The University now accepts online check payments (E-Checks) through its online payment system.  This service allows students and Authorized Users to make online payments directly from a checking or savings account.  The return check policy for electronic checks is the same as for paper checks.

Checks/Money Orders

Tuition and fees can be paid by personal check, certified check, cashier's check or money order. All checks and money orders must be made payable to North Carolina A&T State University and also include the student's name and student identification (Banner) number.  We do not accept counter checks or starter checks.

Returned Check Policy

The University's returned check policy requires a $25.00 service charge to be assessed for each returned check.  Once a check has been returned, the university will not be able to accept any personal checks for your student account. 

Payments Via Mail

Payments sent through the mail must be received by the university prior to the due date in order to secure one’s classes.  In order to ensure that payments are sent directly to the Treasurer’s Office, send all mail payments to the following address:

Direct Payments

Payments can be made in person during regular business hours at the Cashier’s Office (located on the first floor of the Dowdy Administration Building).  The Cashier’s Office can accept the following forms of payments: Cash, check, money order, or certified check.

  • Select: Current Students
  • Select: Online Payments (student)
  • Enter:  One ID
  • Enter:  Password
  • Select: Login Now
  • Select: Make a Payment
  • Select: Pay
  • Select: Payment Method
  • Enter: Payment Information

Making online credit card payments: (AUTHORIZED USER)

  • Go to: www.ncat.edu 
  • Select: Menu
  • Select: Parents
  • Select: Campus Resources

  • Select: Online Payments (Authorized User)
  • Enter: Email address (located in the Authorized Users section)
  • Enter: Password 
  • Select: Make a Payment

Adding an Authorized User to a student account:

  • Go to: www.ncat.edu 
  • Select: Menu
  • Select: Current Students 
  • Select: Online Payments (student) 
  • Enter:  One ID 
  • Enter:  Password 
  • Select: Login Now 
  • Select: Authorized Users 
  • Select: Add an Authorized User 
  • Enter:  E-mail Address of the Authorized User 
  • Select: Add User 
  • Check: I Agree 
  • Select: Continue

*Adding an Authorized User to your account does not give the person access to your academic records, which includes your grades.*
