WebFOCUS 9 Upgrade Project

We are excited to announce the university has upgraded to WebFOCUS 9.2.5.


The university upgraded to maintain technical currency, improve performance, and to leverage best in class business intelligence and analytics tools.

Some of the new features include:

  • Improved Dashboards: The dashboard capabilities in WebFOCUS 9.2.5 have been enhanced, offering more interactive and user-friendly dashboards that allow end-users to explore data more efficiently and gain deeper insights.
  • Advanced Visualizations: New visualizations and reporting tools give users the ability to create more sophisticated and engaging reports. You can now embed interactive visualizations and drill-down features within your reports for better data exploration.
  • Natural Language Query (NLQ): The ability to use natural language to query data has been improved, allowing users to ask questions in plain language and get reports or insights instantly without needing to know complex query syntax.
  • Advanced Analytics Features: With WebFOCUS 9.2.5, you gain access to enhanced analytics features like predictive analytics, which can help users forecast trends and make data-driven decisions more effectively.
  • Self-Service BI: This version strengthens self-service capabilities, allowing business users to build their own reports and dashboards without heavy reliance on IT, making the system more agile and user-friendly.

Additionally, the university will benefit from:

  • a more efficient, modern, and robust reporting environment
  • more timely report development
  • increased quality and speed of report access

The upgrade will be completed on Monday February 10th.
