Supervisory Development Program (SDP)

What is SDP?

The Supervisory Development Program is an in-house supervisory track developed for aspiring leaders, supervisors, and managers. Our program consists of 27 classroom and E-learning courses that focus on the following four areas:

  1. Leadership Foundations
  2. Process Efficiency
  3. Creativity and Innovation
  4. Institutional Business Management

Intended Audience?

SDP is intended for full-time employees (minimum 12 months of continuous employment) interested in developing their supervisory skills and committed to personal and professional growth.

What’s In It For Me?

SDP participants will acquire enhanced collaboration, develop practical skills and receive tools for easy workplace application. Program participation facilitates goal planning during N.C. A&T’s annual performance management review. Upon completion of SDP, participants will receive a certificate of achievement from the Division of Human Resources (DHR) presented by the Chancellor.

Where do I Begin?

Participation in the Supervisory Development Program requires manager or supervisory approval and submission of the program application. Upon submission you’ll receive a welcome packet and additional program requirements and details.
